With a view to provide encouraging study environment to students, hostel facility was started in DPS Greater Noida on July, 2013 for Boys and Girls of Class Vth to XIIth. The state of art facility equipped with spacious dorms and energising recreational area. Extra classes act as catalyst to academic Excellency of students.

While multi course meal is served to the students with love, optimum care is taken to ensure homely and hygienic environment. Hostel schedule synchronized with regular school offer eclectic opportunity to participate in activities like Horse Riding, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket along with instrumental and western Music. Professional & Caring hostel staff with round the clock medical facility and security contributes to optimum delight for the parents.

 

Infrastructure:

Dormitories- Spacious air condition dormitories with Capacity of 6 students in each dorm (Class V to Class X) and maximum 4 students in each dorm (Class XI & XII) Exclusive and secure living area for Girls with round the clock supervision be Lady Wardens.

 

Dining- A wellequipped modern and contemporary dining hall provide the boarders with quality, homely, hygienic and nutritious food. Dining is special time when boarders eat together like a family in clean dining place.

 

Clinic- The hostel also has a well-equipped Medical Care centre under the supervision of doctor to provide regular checkups and treatment to the boarders. A well-qualified nurse is in attendance round the clock. Security- Secured living area for boys and girls with 24 hour supervision through CCTV and trained security personal. The entire hostel premises is equipped with Fire safety.

 

Recreation: Separate recreation place for boys and girls with LED TV, Indoor Table Tennis, Carom and Chess boards are available for the students. In addition, monthly outings, festival celebrations and competitions within the hostel are organized. Monthly excursion and visit to new release add value to recreational experience.

Academics

 Extra/Remedial class for hostellers by school teachers on Daily basis for 1 Hour during working days.

 Daily supervised prep for 2 Hours during working days and 4 Hours during weekends and Holidays.

 Continuous follow up with teachers on performance of students.

 Individual need based academic support to the students.

 VMC Coaching classes mapped with school classes for Class XI and XII(Science) students.

The hostel calendar is filled with numerous co-curricular activities throughout the year hostellers take special interest in participating in these activities and look forward to them to release the stress incurred on them by the busy schedule of the day these also happen to follow the house system.

 The hostel quiz takes place in three rounds each consisting of various topics of general knowledge throughout the year

ENGLISH SHORT STORY WRITING

       JULY

English short story writing competition is one of the favourite activity of the students in which they express their imagination and showcase it to the world. Students write on various topics given up to ten major topics to write on.

  • EVERY year the hostel gets together to present to the school its annual presentation English this year it was named “Murder Most Foul” a murder mystery it was highly appreciated  by principal Ma’am and all the other faculty present at the occasion.

3rd -INTER HOSTEL SPORTS COMPETITION REPORT (2017)

 

The Intramural Sports activities of Delhi Public School-HOSTEL for the session 2017-18 has been inaugurated with the blessings of the details of our honourable Principal Ma’am.

Briefly explain the purpose of intramural sports activity.

The main purpose of the Intramural is to give opportunity to the students for participation in the various competitions and conduction of competitions by the students who have never got a chance to participate in inter school competitions or extramural.

Like:- CBSE-Cluster, Zonal and National level or open District, State and National level competitions in different games and sports.

This also develops an affinity between students, develops leadership quality amongst students, an attitude of working together and also competing with each other.

The motto of our Intramural sports activities is “COGNATION, COOPERATION AND COMPETITION.”

The Fourth competition conducted on 28th August 2017 was March-Past. In this game Veer Subhash House has proven their superiority and placed 1st where as tie has occurred between other two Houses, so all the houses has given equal points Chatrapati Shivaji House & Maharana Pratap House 2rd place.
